First Easter

This Easter, Kevin and I struggled to decide what kind of tradition we wanted to begin for our family. In terms of the secular aspects of Easter, I never realized how much stuff they had available related to the selling of Easter baskets. It has never been a big thing in the Khamphakdy family, and it's amazing how you can enjoy things even more when you watch your child experience it. We had a great time picking out a basket and a few stuffers. We took even more pleasure in watching Kalani explore his goodies...

His favorite was the pinwheel.

We got bubbles following Amy's suggestion. It was a hit when he went to visit Eli the other day. We love it. As Amy says - hours of fun on a low budget!

This year, we went to Raytown for Easter breakfast and service, then to the Brown's for lunch. It was a great way to see most of the family.

Kalani is not sure he likes the bunny.

He is teething again and drooling up a storm. This time, I think it's the top teeth. Maybe he was jealous of the bunny's chompers.

During our Easter egg hunt, Kalani stood holding his eggs, then promptly fell head-first into his basket. We died laughing and he was completely unphased. He just went right back to tasting his eggs.

Kalani and cousin Zoe, just over 2 months apart, were like two peas in a pod. I'm so glad they get to grow up together!

We attemped to get photos of all the cousins together. In theory, a good idea, but not so easily accomplished. Kalani was not on board initially and it seemed like every time someone took a picture, one of the six was staring off into space.

Before we stole Eli's egg and had a sing-a-long to "My God is So Big," which always seems to settle Kalani down (the sone, not the egg)

Ah, finally a good one.
